Job description

At Van Hool, we are looking for new team players to strengthen our IT team.  We organize our IT Team in tribes.  Each tribe is responsible for delivering a complete service around a specific domain.  

The Customer Facing tribe is responsible for all customer facing applications, including CRM, opportunity management, salesforce automation, configure/price/quote solutions, service desk, customer portal and marketing automation.  

The Customer Facing Product Owner is responsible for managing the complete lifecycle of the applications of his/her tribe : From analysis, through prioritization, development, release to support.  

Tasks : 

  • He/She gathers requirements from the key users in the business departments 
  • He/She analyses and documents requirements.  
  • He/She assesses priority of requirements

  • He/She defines the product roadmap, in terms of sprints and releases, based on the priorities.  
  • He/She does the follow-up of the development sprints. 
  • He/She manages and guides the implementation partner(s). 
  • He/She does the follow-up of the budget of his/her specific tribe.  
  • He/She synchronizes the releases with the other IT tribes.  
  • He/She documents the releases.  
  • He/She trains the key-users in the different departments to make sure they are the first line responsible for their respective field.  
  • He/She helps in the selection process of new applications on functional and technical requirements.  
  • He/She assists in the day-to-day support and sorts the requests between incidents, bug fixes, change requests and strategic projects.  He/She then includes the bug fixes, change requests and strategic projects in right sprints and releases.  
Job requirements
  • Knowledge of Scrum methodology's "Product Owner" role.  
  • Knowledge and experience of CRM functionalities and requirements, including opportunity management, salesfoce automation, configure/price/quote solutions, service desk, customer portal and marketing automation.  
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.  
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure.  
  • Listening ability and questioning skills, combined with good communication skills to explain the problem and the solution in simple terms.  
  • A good dose of patience.  
  • Good memory of how the solutions work.  
  • Dutch, English and French required.  
  • At least 5 years experience in a similar role.
