1974-2024: 50 years of Van Hool IV factory

Although Van Hool had been building industrial vehicles for some time, it wasn't until the seventies that we meant – serious – business. In 1974 – the year that founder Bernard Van Hool died – Prime Minister Leo Tindemans officially opened a brand new production line dedicated exclusively to industrial vehicles. Bernard's son Jos Van Hool was the inspirational force behind this project.

Exactly 50 years later, the plant has grown into a high-tech production facility where some 700 employees give their best every day to deliver 4,000 tanks and trailers a year, in all sizes and weights, to the many customers at home and abroad. We thank customers for their trust over the past years, and look forward to working with them in the future: because their future is ours too!
